SPIRIT, MIND, BODY
Waterbrook develops within its student body the intellectual and personal habits that build responsible, independent, and productive lives.
We strive to offer enrichment and development of character through both curricular and extracurricular offerings. We aspire to nurture the student's humanity - spirit, mind, body - focusing on the potential within each individual. Waterbrook offers a time-honored classical curriculum and pedagogy that directs student achievement towards mastery of the basics, exploration of the arts and sciences, and understanding of the foundational tenets of our Judeo-Christian values and heritage. |
OUR STORY
At the beginning of 2007, a group of families came together to process the news of their small Christian elementary school closing its doors. Out of that meeting, Cornerstone Christian Academy was born and began educating twenty-six students from Preschool to sixth grade in Davison, Michigan in the fall of 2007 with the intent of adding an additional grade every year.
In 2010 the founding board changed the school name to Waterbrook Christian Academy which is taken from Psalm 42:1. This Psalm reflects our desire to thirst after God and instill that longing into our students. In the fall of 2013 Waterbrook moved into our current campus on Richfield Road and graduated our first senior class in the spring of 2014. Since our founding, Waterbrook has been served by one Head of School, has grown in enrollment to approximately 200 students, and has served families from Genesee, Oakland, Lapeer, Saginaw, and Tuscola counties. |
