Jean Hoag

Mrs. Hoag teaches Elementary Music, Beginning Band, Intermediate Band, Concert Band, and Choir.  She began teaching at Waterbrook in 2016. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at the University of Michigan Flint.  Jean's favorite thing about working at Waterbrook is she gets to teach music and have fun doing it. She states: "I also love that I can talk about God and use God in my curriculum." She decided to teach music because as her kids were going through their schooling, she realized there was a limited amount of music being taught. In addition to teaching, she enjoys playing flute in the Genesee Wind Symphony, singing in the Carolyn Mawby Chorale, and flower gardening.
